Construction Waste Management in Pomorie Municipality
Planning a renovation or construction project within Pomorie Municipality? Please note that the municipality does not provide direct collection or transportation services for construction waste. Every owner or investor is responsible for organizing this process through a licensed company.
Procedure in 3 Easy Steps
1. Renting a Construction Waste Container You must sign a contract with a private licensed company that:
Provides a specialized container (usually 4 or 6 cubic meters).
Transports the waste to a regulated landfill.
2. Permit for Use of Public Space (“Sidewalk Right”) If the container will be placed on a sidewalk or the roadway, you must:
Visit the OP “SUOI” (Management of Municipal Property).
Address: 5 Solna St., Pomorie.
Pay a fee for occupying public space for the required number of days (pursuant to Ordinance №6 of Pomorie Municipality).
Roadway usage: Coordination with the Pomorie Regional Police Department (RUP) may be required for temporary traffic management.
3. Proper Disposal and Landfilling Once the container is full:
The company handles the transportation.
For major renovations or legal entities, it is mandatory to request a disposal certificate, especially if a construction permit has been issued.
Prohibitions and Sanctions
According to current municipal ordinances:
Prohibited: Disposing of bricks, concrete, roof tiles, plaster, or other construction materials in household waste bins.
Prohibited: Overfilling containers above their rim.
Sanctions: Significant fines are imposed on both individuals and legal entities for unauthorized disposal or the creation of illegal dumpsites.
